Attended 11:00 a.m. mass

One of her bedtime stories.

This was my first time participating in Ali E.'s Week In The Life. At first, I thought, "Geez, it's going to be a ton of work. I honestly wondered how much effort I could put into this since teaching all day pretty much drained me. But just the idea of documenting the little day to day routines in my life (at this very moment) would be something SPECTACULAR to look back on. And I thank Jenny for inviting me to do this. Keep it simple, she says. Any form of documenting is good enough. And that's so true.

First Dance Recital

My little ballerina eating jelly beans.
Check out Grandma A in her scrubs. She came straight from work. My mom definitley didn't want to miss her apo's first recital. Fiona was extremely fortunate to have both sets of grandparents and great-grandma watch her first performance. What a treat! Surrounded by bouquets of candy and flowers from her parents and grandparents. OMG!
Bunches of tulips for Emma's terrific performance!

Papa's so proud of his little ballerina.
Ms. Angela whispering to Fiona, how beautiful her hair looks.
This picture was taken at the rehearsal. I can't believe the girls were able to hold still for this long. Look at them all shine!

Bangs & Bun

Before the haircut. I'll miss her wispy baby hairs.
It only took one snip!
And voila! Bangs! Gosh, she looks older!

Getting ready for the Prima Ballerina dress rehearsal and photos.

The teeniest bun I've ever seen.

And they added sparkly pink glitter to jazz it up.

Easter Sunday 2010

Easter Sunday was quite eventful. We met up with the Estrellado's and the Lee's for 10:00 a.m. mass at the Mission de Alcala. We had a little family photo shoot in the beautiful garden area. Later that afternoon, we headed over to Bonita to celebrate sweet Lilikoi's 2nd birthday. Bubbles, sidewalk chalk hopscotch, delicious tres leches cake, and a spectacular egg hunt all perfectly planned by the Nierva's.
But to top things off, we had an earthquake. It was definitely one of the longest earthquakes I've ever felt. This all happened during the egg hunt which took place in the front yard. All you could see were the cars swaying from side to side like hydraulics on Highland. But I don't even think the kiddies noticed. They were too busy looking and running around for Easter eggs. All in all, we were safe. That's all that mattered. And I sincerely counted all my blessings, each and everyone one.

Spring Break Snapshots

Day 1 Disneyland
Fiona's very first time eating cotton candy! She would've eaten the entire bag if I'd let her. Such a sweet tooth!

We had dinner with Maryann and Emil at Nickel Diner, downtown Los Angeles. This was our foodie adventure. Guy Fieri recommended it. It was a little sketchy in the evening though. A better time to bring kids would be around breakfast or lunch. Farley had a flat iron steak with chimmichurri sauce and shoestring fries. Yum!

A variety of mouthwatering desserts. Red Velvet Cake with chocolate chips, homemade Pop Tarts, homemade Ding Dongs, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake covered with potato chips, Coconut Tapioca pudding, and sweet old Sugar Cookies.

A crazy selection of donuts. Maple glazed bacon donut. Day 2 The Happiest Place On Earth

Papa and Fi posing by the main entrance.

Ruby and Fiona driving Mr. Toad's roadster
Met up with the Nierva's and Lee's for dinner. And for dessert, the girls had Princess Heart LOLLIPOPS!
